This however meant any winged shots would not be as clear as I had hoped, I will speak to Steve on this as this maybe something I can do in post production to allow me to keep the faster shutter speed. The other problems I encountered were.
- I found was that the birds were a little shy of the stump where the camera was, and this was proven that when I moved it they went to another stump. I may need to invest in some camouflage netting to put over the camera.
- The setting of a large aperture means that some shots of the birds are out of focus due to the narrow depth of field. I will try a smaller aperture next time to get more shots in focus.
- Flash strength I may use a higher flash strength next time to see if this helps with the shutter speed and aperture settings
All things considered I am quite happy with the results and want to do this again to try and improve my photographs and get nearer to the shot I want.
Hi
ReplyDeleteIf you go to Springfields army and navy stores you can get a piece of army webbing which you could drape over the camera. Make sure that it doesn't flap in the wind though as it may startle the birds.
